The Cons:Tall, soft sidewalls soften handling. Poor grip in winter on a more powerful RWD vehicle. Have been replaced by the Primacy MXV4.
The Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 tire is a mid-priced all-season tire made specifically for luxury cars. The Green X fuel efficiency rating of this tire means that this tire will take a tank of gas far.

The Energy MXV4 S8 has a full silica tread compound, which offers grip under wet conditions without sacrificing this fuel efficiency. The circumferential groove sizing of this tire, which has large grooves toward the shoulder, prevents hydroplaning and driving noise. The Radial XSE technology also helps with grip, especially traction in the snow. The Energy MXV4's BAZ technology, which consists of spiral-wrapped nylon banded at the rotating point of the tire, makes for consistent handling, even at high speeds. This tire comes with a six year warranty. The Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 tire comes in a variety of size options.

#michelin_energy_mxv4_s8 I've had these tires on two different cars: One FWD and one RWD.
They are smooth, well-balanced, consistently average, quiet tires from new right up until their replacement.
On the FWD car, they are great all-season tires, but don't expect much performance from the big squishy sidewalls in turns.
On the RWD car, they serve as decent summer/rain/light snow tires, but don't put down the power in the winter as well as proper winter tires do. A lower profile tire would arguably have better handling characteristics but sacrifice the ride quality, so as a luxury tire, the MXV4 does a good job.
Tread life on these have been great, but upon replacement we found that they no longer are being produced, and now the Primacy is the new MXV4.
