Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar are off-road tires with additional technology for sidewall toughness. DuPont Kevlar is used to reinforce the sidewalls, enhancing resistance cuts and punctures when driving through sharp granite and other variable surfaces by 35%.

A wraparound tread offers traction along the sidewall, and is designed to work in surfaces such as sand, rocks and mud. The asymmetric tread design offers aggressive off-road traction while enhancing handling on standard road surfaces. The tire uses an advanced silica rubber, which is designed specifically to gain traction in off-road and wet conditions.
