Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor

$200.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Dry performance is relatively consistent - smooth ride when tires are fully pumped.

The Cons:Many users report longevity issues - balancing, rotating frequent pressure checks may be necessary after as little as 5,000 miles. Treads tend to wear unevenly - prescribed rotations result in unbalanced tires. Performs especially poor in moist conditions - light rain and snow may pose serious problems.

Goodyear's Fortera SilentArmor tires are for trucks or SUVs and have a specially designed interior that provides a very quiet ride with durability. There is a highly-absorbent layer under the treads that absorbs impact and keeps the ride quiet, and beneath that a layer of Kevlar for extra strength and toughness.
