Firestone FR710

Released March, 2006
The Pros:Durable materials resist tread wear for a long time. Very little vibration, provides a smooth and comfortable ride. Non-directional tires make them easier to rotate on a regular basis.
The Cons:Loses significant amounts of traction on ice.
The Firestone FR710 are low-cost all-season tires. These have a wider footprint than other low-cost Firestone tires, allowing more of the tread to work on the road at a time for increased handling and comfort.

The flow-through grooves that run the circumference of the tire are built wider than usual as well, allowing for faster evacuation of water from under the tire. Deep shoulder slots are also built in to help with traction in snow. Continuous shoulder ribs reduce the impact on the tread, increasing durability.
